New Cinema Opening at Lake of the Ozarks!!

The Lake of the Ozarks continues to grow in all areas with new developments happening all over.  From Lakefront homes to new businesses coming in or expanding...everywhere you look there is PROGRESS!!

Wehrenberg Theatres announced that the new state of the art Eagles' Landing 8 Cine in Lake Ozark will host their grand opening on November 1, 2013.  The complex will feature eight digital movie screens including three state of the art 3D digital auditoriums. This new facility will also boast many exciting movie-going amenities guests will love. 

• Luxury seating with leather, high-back rockers are in all auditoriums.
• "Snuggle Seating" rockers have movable armrests for the guests comfort.
• Stadium-seating with larger movie screens providing a clear digital picture and sound are in every theater. 
  
• A large concession area with a wide variety of snacks and a self service soda station so refills will be hassle free.
• A large indoor lobby area including an expanded game area will accommodate guests nicely.

The demand for more movie choices at the Lake led to ground breaking on Eagle's Landing 8 Cine in late January of 2013.  Additional screens will allow more films to show as well as letting the films stay longer so movie goers have more options to fit their schedules.  The Osage Village Cine 5 at the Osage Premium Outlet will remain operating as usual.  Having celebrated its 100th Anniversary in 2006, St. Louis-based Wehrenberg Theatres is the oldest family-owned-and-operated theatre circuit in the U.S.

28th Annual Fall Harbor Hop This Weekend!!

One of the most anticipated events this season is the Fall Harbor Hop.  With over 40 locations involved there are many options.  Hundreds of people participate hopping from one location to the next.  This is a perfect way to get out and enjoy the fall lake waters.  The cool thing is there are locations on every arm of the lake so it is convenient too! Here is how it works...

• Visit over 40 of the participating locations on the water to play your poker hand.
• Enter the Harbor hop by stopping at any of the check points.
• To obtain a hand, sign up and pay an optional $15 donation (per 7 card hand).  Any player can enter more than once.
• The 1st card is drawn at the checkpoint where the hand is purchased.
• 6 additional cards are obtained by hopping to six more checkpoints drawing one card, per hand, at each location. Some locations are 2 card stops!
• The hand is complete when the 7th card is drawn. 
• To qualify the hand must be turned in by 7pm at your last checkpoint.
• Winners will be notified by certified mail.

Fall Festivals in Full Swing at Lake of the Ozarks

The cooler temps lend well to outdoor activities and area festivals are a great way to spend the day!  Most are only a short drive from our luxury lakeside homes in the Camdenton area.  Here are some of our favorites:

• 34th Annual Old Tyme Apple Festival takes place in downtown Versailles October 5th.  This award winning festival brings thousands of people to enjoy a parade, fiddle contest, street performers, vendor booths, great fair food and much more! 
• October Fun Fest at Old Kinderhook is October 12th from 3-7pm.  This family fun event offers a pumpkin patch and decorating station, bounce houses, face painting, hay rides, a beer garden and more!  The Boomchucks will entertain on the outdoor stage. 
• 28th Annual Fall Harbor Hop is also October 12th and is a great excuse to get out with your friends and family to enjoy the beautiful fall lake water!  To enter, just visit one of the 40 waterfront locations and get your hand going.  Then travel to other locations to complete your hand and turn in for the chance to win prizes.  Many of the restaurants and bars have special promotion going during this fall finale.

• FCA Trap Shooting Tournament is October 12th at the MO Trap Association grounds in Linn Creek.  Get a team together and show off your skills.  There are various categories of competition.  All proceeds from the event support Lake of the Ozarks Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
