30th Annual Lake of the Ozarks Fall Harbor Hop

Don't miss the Fall Harbor Hop on Saturday, October 10th!  One last chance to win a hand of poker by water, while you enjoy some of your favorite Lake of the Ozarks restaurants and bars.  There are over 40 participating locations, just collect 7 cards and get your hand turned in before 7 pm to qualify! The 18th Annual Lake Harbor Hop is this Weekend

Join us here at beautiful Lake of the Ozarks this weekend for one of the first big events of the season, Spring Harbor Hop! Draw cards at more than 40 locations around the Lake of the Ozarks to make a winning poker hand. You can enter at any of checkpoints and enjoy stops all around the Lake before turning your hand in your 7 card hand by 7 pm. This is one annual event you don't want to miss!

Prize Allocations

1st Place: 10%
2nd Place: 9%
3rd Place: 8%
4th Place: 7% each
5th - 10th Place: 5% each
4 Worst Hands: 4% each
Random Drawing for 10 Hands: 2% each
(all ties will share the allocated percentage for the placing)

The Bonus
In addition to the regular prize winners, a section winner will be recognized. To be eligible to be a section winner, a player must draw all seven (7) cards within one of the four sections listed below.

Lake of the Ozarks is the Place to Be this Weekend!

If you are looking for some Summer Fun at the Lake of the Ozarks, look no further than the events happening this weekend!  We have boats racing, wakeboarders flying and dogs jumping! The world's best wakeboard contest is taking place June 4-7 here at the scenic Lake of the Ozarks, also known as "BROzarks," Missouri!  Fueled by Monster energy, the contest will feature 26 of the world's best riders including Harley Clifford, Shane Bonifay and Bob Soven. Each contestant will be competing in a double-up contest for over $30,000!  Axis Wake Research, the official towboat of BROstock, will be pulling the world's best behind a new 2014 A22.  Come hangout with your favorite riders, pick up a pair of Spy Optic BROstock sunglasses and have the time of your life!

Lake Race 2014

The premier powerboat race of the Midwest is happening this Saturday and Sunday with fun events all week leading up to the race!  World Champions and Amateurs alike will navigate their powerful machines at speeds of up to 170 mph in hopes to take home the title.  Spectators will line the shore to witness the battles with more viewing venues than any other powerboat race event in the US!  For more details, check out the Official 2014 Lake Race Program.

Dog Days Bar & Grill will host the Annual Canine Cannonball this weekend, June 7-9 at the Lake of the Ozarks!  Families can enjoy the fun as they watch canine athletes compete in a variety of dock-jumping events.  The event is free to those that want to come and cheer on their favorite breed. The St Patty's Day Water Parade is This Weekend!!

One of the fun things about being a Lake of the Ozarks resident is that you will enjoy UNIQUE events like the a WATER Parade!!  This Saturday, March 15 will be the 23rd Annual St Patty's Day Water Parade! This parade is a fun day trip around the Lake of the Ozarks by water and a FUN way to kick off the Spring boating season!!  

Participants will start the day with a great breakfast buffett at Ozark Bar-B-Que and then cruise the Gravois Arm to Richard Knoggins and Jolly Rogers.  Don't have a boat or haven't de-winterized your boat?  No problem, tickets are available for seats aboard the Tropic Island Cruise boat!  The tickets are limited and cost $30 which will include breakfast and a seat on the boat for the entire parade.  

Souvenir long sleeve shirts will be available for purchase.  If you need additional information, please contact the Lake West Chamber at 573-374-5500 for more info, to register for the parade, reserve your seat on the Tropic Island or to order shirts in advance.  

If you only have a few hours, the breakfast buffett will be open to anyone who would like to check out the boats and see the parade off at the dock.  Be sure to call Pamela Lanier at Ozark Bar-B-Que directly with the number in your party for planning purposes - 573-480-2477.  Cost for breakfast only is $10.

28th Annual Fall Harbor Hop This Weekend!!

One of the most anticipated events this season is the Fall Harbor Hop.  With over 40 locations involved there are many options.  Hundreds of people participate hopping from one location to the next.  This is a perfect way to get out and enjoy the fall lake waters.  The cool thing is there are locations on every arm of the lake so it is convenient too! Here is how it works...

• Visit over 40 of the participating locations on the water to play your poker hand.
• Enter the Harbor hop by stopping at any of the check points.
• To obtain a hand, sign up and pay an optional $15 donation (per 7 card hand).  Any player can enter more than once.
• The 1st card is drawn at the checkpoint where the hand is purchased.
• 6 additional cards are obtained by hopping to six more checkpoints drawing one card, per hand, at each location. Some locations are 2 card stops!
• The hand is complete when the 7th card is drawn. 
• To qualify the hand must be turned in by 7pm at your last checkpoint.
• Winners will be notified by certified mail.
