It’s almost time to take the plunge in the Lake of the Ozarks Water for the 2018 Lake of the Ozarks Polar Plunge. If you don’t have plans set for this weekend, why not grab your friends and family and come out to support local Special Olympics athletes. Mission Bay is excited about this great event. After you take the plunge, you’ll be able to come back to your lakefront home at the Lake of the Ozarks to warm up and relax. We have all the information for this great event below.
Pee Wee Polar Plunge
When: February 23rd

If you have a kid that wants to be a part of the Polar Plunge, this is the event for them. This event is open to any child through 9 years of age. There is a $25 registration fee and each Pee Wee Plunger will receive an official event t-shirt. If the Plunger decides to go above and beyond with fundraising and raise $100+, he/she will receive a fun Polar Plunge prize also.

This “unbearable: event is a one of a kind opportunity to show how brave you are and to support local Special Olympics athletes by plunging into the frigid winter waters. The proceeds benefit Special Olympics Missouri. SOMO exists to provide year-round sports and training opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities and the athletes need you to get involved. You can become a coach, volunteer, recruit a future athlete and learn how you can make a difference.
Participants of the Polar Plunge must be at least 10 years old and raise a minimum of $75 each by event day. The Polar Plunge is a project of the Law Enforcement Torch Run(R) for Special Olympics Missouri. Osage Beach PD is proud to host this event.
The event doesn’t end at the beach. The best Plunge After Party will take place at Tan-Tar-A from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. This year special guest Kricket Alley will be performing along with the best silent/live auction. Appetizers, 2 drink tickets, entertainment by one of the best bands at the Lake and loads of fun will be free for Polar Plungers and $10 for guests.
