Hot Summer Nights at the Lake of the Ozarks is back for another great season!

Mission Bay wants to make sure you are aware of all the great events going on at the Lake of the Ozarks this summer!  For starters, join us this Friday as we kickoff the 7th Annual Hot Summer Nights Event at the Lake of the Ozarks!  The event is held once a month from May to September and is free to the public.  Car enthusiasts and family vacationers from all over come together at the Bagnell Dam Strip for an evening of family-fun and entertainment.  In addition to browsing numerous classic and custom cars, trucks and motorcycles, guests can participate in a number of various activities such as facepainting, caricatures, clowns, live music, contests and so much more!

2014 Hot Summer Night Event Dates

• May 9 - First Hot Summer Nights Event of the Season 
• June 13 - The Lake Salutes Route 66
• July 11 - Muscle Car Event 
• August 8 - Theme Night - the Movie "Grease" 
• September 5 - "Vettes for Veterans"

Boating Season Continues Long Past Labor Day

Calm Lake Water for the Fall

School is back in session and things are getting back to normal. It's the perfect time to visit for a weekend or short getaway!  Long gone are the days of the carpets rolling up right after Labor Day weekend. Most Lake businesses now operate year round offering the friendly Ozark hospitality the area is known for.

With mild temperatures and less boat traffic the water is perfect!  Take an opportunity to explore the expansive shorelines of Lake of the Ozarks.  Admire the natural setting of the State Park side of the Lake or check out the master craftsmanship in the many Lake of the Ozarks waterfront homes and cottages.  The Lake of the Ozarks has something for everyone!

Fall is a great time of year for bass fishing with many active fish in the cooler waters.  Keep to the shallows along dock lines for the best odds.  Take advantage of one of the many local guides to get an upper hand in finding "the spot".  If you feel competitive enter in the Big Bass Bash October 5-6.  Over $200,000 in total prize money will be awarded over the weekend.  

Marinas and gas docks are open to service your boating needs while on the water.  If you don't own a boat, various boat rental operations are available. With less congestion this is a great time to sight-see without the pressure of peak summer traffic.  

Most waterfront restaurants are open on a limited schedule through October if not longer, with the majority open Thursday - Sunday.  The 28th Annual Fall Harbor Hop is the second Saturday in October and is an excellent way to check out new spots or visit your favorites.  With over 40 check points you can compete to win fantastic prizes while having a blast with your friends & family!
