Family Pumpkin Patch in Camden County

Pumpkin patches, corn mazes, and Fall festivities are abundant throughout southwest Missouri.  A recent one to Camden County is Mecca Family Farm in Roach, MO.  It features a petting zoo, corn crib, 150' slide, hay rides and face painting.  This will be open in October, Saturdays and Sundays from 10am - 5pm. Hot Summer Nights at the Lake of the Ozarks is back for another great season!

Mission Bay wants to make sure you are aware of all the great events going on at the Lake of the Ozarks this summer!  For starters, join us this Friday as we kickoff the 7th Annual Hot Summer Nights Event at the Lake of the Ozarks!  The event is held once a month from May to September and is free to the public.  Car enthusiasts and family vacationers from all over come together at the Bagnell Dam Strip for an evening of family-fun and entertainment.  In addition to browsing numerous classic and custom cars, trucks and motorcycles, guests can participate in a number of various activities such as facepainting, caricatures, clowns, live music, contests and so much more!

2014 Hot Summer Night Event Dates

• May 9 - First Hot Summer Nights Event of the Season 
• June 13 - The Lake Salutes Route 66
• July 11 - Muscle Car Event 
• August 8 - Theme Night - the Movie "Grease" 
• September 5 - "Vettes for Veterans"

The St Patty's Day Water Parade is This Weekend!!

One of the fun things about being a Lake of the Ozarks resident is that you will enjoy UNIQUE events like the a WATER Parade!!  This Saturday, March 15 will be the 23rd Annual St Patty's Day Water Parade! This parade is a fun day trip around the Lake of the Ozarks by water and a FUN way to kick off the Spring boating season!!  

Participants will start the day with a great breakfast buffett at Ozark Bar-B-Que and then cruise the Gravois Arm to Richard Knoggins and Jolly Rogers.  Don't have a boat or haven't de-winterized your boat?  No problem, tickets are available for seats aboard the Tropic Island Cruise boat!  The tickets are limited and cost $30 which will include breakfast and a seat on the boat for the entire parade.  

Souvenir long sleeve shirts will be available for purchase.  If you need additional information, please contact the Lake West Chamber at 573-374-5500 for more info, to register for the parade, reserve your seat on the Tropic Island or to order shirts in advance.  

If you only have a few hours, the breakfast buffett will be open to anyone who would like to check out the boats and see the parade off at the dock.  Be sure to call Pamela Lanier at Ozark Bar-B-Que directly with the number in your party for planning purposes - 573-480-2477.  Cost for breakfast only is $10.

Fantastic Weekend of Entertainment at The Royal Theater

There are certain classics that instantly trigger memories when it comes to the holidays... Miracle on 34th street, White Christmas to name a couple. Another classic you can experience live this Friday and Saturday, December 13 & 14th at the Royal Theater in Versailles is The Nutcracker.

Enjoy a Lake Cruise to Help our Local Animal Shelter

Dock Realty is excited to announce the 3rd Annual Deck the Docks Celebration to benefit Dogwood Animal Shelter is about to begin! 

Public cruises begin Friday, November 29th and continue every Friday and Saturday evening through New Year's.  The Port of call is the Celebration Cruise Dock off of Jefferies Road - just west of the Grand Glaize Bridge - just follow the signs!

Residents and business owners between the 13 and 21 mile markers are asked to light up the lakeside.  Last year about 40 lakefront homes and businesses participated with light displays and this year there is sure to be more!

Proceeds from the cruises benefit Dogwood Animal Shelter.  This No-Kill refuge for the homeless domesticated animals in Lake of the Ozarks, houses over 200 furry friends waiting for a loving home.  Last year the event raised $15,000 last year the goal for 2013 is $18,000.  Make your reservations soon at Celebration Cruises!

Lake of the Ozarks Air Show - A Salute To The Military

Lake of the Ozarks offers fall festivals almost every weekend and this one is no different.  The Lake of the Ozarks Air Show is Saturday, September 21st at the Camdenton Memorial Airport off of Hwy 5 in Camdenton, just minutes from the beautiful Mission Bay Waterfront Homes at Lake of the Ozarks.  The day is jam packed with stunts, fly-overs, kids activities, vendor booths and constant demonstrations.

Plan to make a day of it as something different is happening every 15 minutes to a half hour.  Here are some highlights you won't want to miss.

• Opening Ceremonies and Military Salute happens at 10:!5 and will kick off the day complete with skydivers.

• KC Flight Formation fly over is at 11am and then again at 1pm.

• Neal Darnell Chevrolet Jet Truck run is something you won't want to miss.  You can literally feel it rumble as it passes by.

• Aerobatic Flights will take place between 10:45am and 1:00pm.  These daredevils do things that will simply take your breathe away.

• RC Airplane Demonstrations are at 11:05am and 1:15pm

• Two Ping Pong Ball Drops will happen at noon and 2pm.  This is always a favorite with the kiddos so take advantage of at least one.

Parking at the airport is $5 per car however free shuttles are available from 8am - 5pm from the Camdenton School campus.  Blankets and lawn chairs are recommended but no coolers allowed.  There are food vendors within the show grounds.
