Beat the Winter Time Blues at the Lake

Lake of the Ozarks may be well-known for sun and fun, but it has plenty of cold-weather activities for those that are getting cabin fever and even want to face Old Man Winter head on.  Here are a few ideas:

Fairly new to the lake is The Ice at Old Kinderhook, an outdoor ice skating rink at the beautiful lodge in Camdenton.  The cost is $13 per person, which includes the skate rental. They also offer pond hockey and broomball. There is a small seating area with firepits, and bar/concession stand around the rink so the whole family can enjoy!

Lazer Force in Osage Beach is an action packed way to spend an afternoon in blacklights, fog, and heart pumping music! This real life lazer tag is guaranteed to get anyone out of a wintertime funk! This is fun for all ages!

If the kids can't wait to get back in the water, then spend the day at Timber Falls at Tan-Tar-A Resort. This indoor waterpark has 600 feet of slides, an activity pool, 21 seat hot tub, lazy river, and locker rooms.

Reminiscent of an old miner town, Miner Mike's and Buster's is an indoor family fun center with over 35,000 sq. ft. of rides, games, and simulators.  The little ones will have a ball in the maze, and riding the Runaway Mine Train and Chuck Wagon Ferris Wheel.  Older kids and adults will be challenged by the high tech games at Buster's and a 20 ft. long custom shuffle board table. There is a snack bar that even serves pizza and burgers and Longbranch Saloon is located on the Buster's side of the complex.  Be sure to collect your tickets, and trade them in for prizes!
